The main difference between carpet dry cleaning and steam cleaning is how much water is used. Carpet dry cleaning utilises dry cleaning technology to break up stains and then lift them using cotton pads. This method relies on dry cleaning chemicals to dissolve the stains and make them easy to remove. Because of Electrodry’s specially-designed cleaning solutions, this method works brilliantly, removing stains without using a lot of water.
On the other hand, steam cleaning, or hot water extraction, uses ten to fifty litres of water for each carpeted room. The water is heated, pressurised, and then injected into the carpet. It is then sucked back out with a powerful vacuum. However, a lot of water gets left in the carpet, meaning wet carpets for at least 4-6 hours.
